I know I am being very specific here adding the wide width part. For the people out there with wide feet, I gotcha! I have the most difficult; wide and short feet.
These waterproof boots have been put through the test. I have worn them regularly for “hiking” in Florida, tons of hiking in Hawaii, hiking in the Catskills and now in the snow in Iceland. They are wonderful!
When we were going to travel a couple thanksgivings back in Paris and Italy my husband had suggested these shoes. I didn’t listen to him because they weren’t fashionable looking. My feet regretted my decision as it was cold and rainy during our trip and the cheaper (and cute) boots I got were not waterproof like as advertised. No one likes wet socks, right?! So for our trip to Hawaii I listened to my husband and got the boots.
They are exactly as described, “out-of-the-box comfort.” They are waterproof, have a supportive footbed, have traction, and keep your feet warm. They are not as heavy of a shoe either as I was able to even do a handstand with them on.
So if you are active and are looking for a shoe that will be with you for all your travels, this is the one. I am a size 5.5 and purchased a size 6 wide. For heels I usually get 5.5 and for shoes I like more comfort so go up a half-size. I would say they are true to size.
